WOW - Arizona Dave - those are wonderful images.

I live in Ohio but I am temporarily in Phoenix for work until next Friday. I didn't have the proper case yet to bring my K-5 along and your pictures make me just that much sadder that I couldn't! I have tomorrow off and I will be out even with the heat, but the only pictures I will be taking will be with my phone. Note to self - get that camera case sorted out before this situation comes up again.

Beautiful job again Frederic. I just picked up a ME Super for a few pounds and there was a bunch of other stuff in the bottom of the box, including half a dozen filters - amongst which was a Hoya +3. I've never tried these before so I'll be having a wee dabble.

A visit to the beach today.

All pictures: FA*300 F4.5

EDIT: Desaturated the purple in the sand a bit. Initially I wanted this to remind me of Paul Gauguin as the foreground had a nice patchwork quality to it like his paintings.

Some cracking work again. Like the first one (mono) best Bossa and all spot on Dave - great countryside you have there.

Posted this yesterday but worked on it again as I wasn't happy. Still not ecstatic. New sort of thing for me that I've been playing with for a wee while without too much success. Happy to keep playing and experimenting though.

Nice shots Pinholecam and Mark !

Click on the photos for details...
Your shots have inspired me to get one of those close up lenses Frederic but they aren't imported into Australia and the only place I can find a listing is at B&H - they aren't cheap either . I was wondering whet the new MFD of your 50-135 is with that lens attached. My 50-135 is as sharp (sharper probably) than my Tamron 90 F2.8 so I was thinking of copying your lens setup for a test at least.

Cheers

Cheers Steve :-) Definitely not a genius though. Keep saying it but I really do wish I'd taken it up years ago. Even when I'm feeling a bit flat with my pictures it still keeps me thinking. Golf just tended to depress me all the time.

You show exceptional sensibilities Mark so no apologies or qualifications are necessary.

I don't know how old you are and, as there's nothing to do about that at this time, I'll just say keep doing what you are doing mate.

Have you thought about finding a gallery and having an exhibition? I think you're ready for that and it would take you off on a possibly stellar new career, if that's what you want? It would also give extra meaning to your process as it is a physical thing hanging on a wall that you've created that will inspire people... and their cheque books. I was a painter for years, before I got swallowed up by music, the most rewarding part of the whole deal, apart from making the work, was seeing it hanging on a wall all together.
