The local night market in Yogyakarta provided ample opportunity to put the K5 low light ability to good use.
While lots of cameras have high ISO capability nowadays, to me, its the very low amount of chroma noise from the K5 files that makes it stand out from the others.

With this high ISO capability, I found myself able to use a fast shutter speed of 1/125 to keep up with the movement of subjects as well as prevent camera shake due to bringing up the camera fast with the constant flow of people and chance encounters.

Gotta love the K5!

Great quality again Frederic and rather like the gull (and the way you've processed it) Bramela.

A seascape from me - not my normal sort of thing but I was up in Edinburgh visiting my folks.

Fs999 great detail in that moon shot. Here is a shot from last night when the overcast sky ruined my moon rise shot so I turned around and shot the beach front.

Thanks a lot Mark.

The top two are Coniston Water, followed by Holy Island, swans over Windermere and finally Pen-y-ghent in the Dales (poor focus on that one though).

Your pictures are spectacular! Could I ask what wide angle lens you use for your landscape shots? I'm heading for a week in the highlands next month and need to take full advantage of the scenery...

Early ones are with the Sigma 10-20 (which I should never have sold) and latest ones are with the Samsung badged version of the DA12-24. I'm thinking of trading back to the 10-20 as on a couple of shots I would have liked that extra width. I need to have a dawn dabble at Coniston. Despite living on the edge of the Lake District I've never taken a picture there.
