I am loving browsing this thread, the photos are amazing. I have only had my K-5 for about 2 months now, and I still only have the kit lens. I'm trying to figure out what lens I need to get next, I can't spend a fortune right now but need a good all purpose lens that is better than the one I have. Eventually I want to play around with the old lenses, and whatever adapter I need to get them to work... I'm such a newbie, this is my first DSLR, but I've been interested in photography for a good 15-20 years... this forum is a big help! I'm wondering why so many people think you can't use Pentax if you are a professional photographer (that you have to use Canon or Nikon - when I compared the same class on those with this camera, I knew this was the one I wanted!) Anyway, here's a quick shot w/ my cheap lens...

"Watch Tower" 180 30 sec exposures stacked for trails and used an off cameral flash to paint light.

Nothing special just a nice reflection composed with the sunset.

iso 1100 for the boat pic (very low light) the NR made it silky smooth and looked pretty good. Not sure which star that was but it was bright!
