Nothing special, but I was taken with this empty street corner on a lovely summer day. And in the same summery mood...

@fs999 I think you are very good at using thin depth of field, looking at your pics is like watching oil paintings and the sunset beach is simply stunning, beautiful tones of brown and, the simplicity without needing saturated colors.

We're having a rainy and cool May here, so street shots also include some raindrops.

It was manufactured by Komine for Vivitar and is a Pentax-M style k-mount. I do not believe it is similar to the Sigma, but I do not know for sure. It is a variation K06 of the many versions of this lens listed in the bestiry. It is considered by many to be one of the better variations of the lens and I find it to produce very clear shots with vibrant colors.

Some shots from a trip about a month ago. Mostly Zagreb, Plitvice lakes and Krk island (the bridge, mostly).

Not the best weather, but I think they turned out ok. In other words, post-pro. I'm still a newbie so feel free to flame for anything and everything that seems off
I'll be visiting Dubrovnik tomorrow and the lakes in 3 days so I guess I might get some different lighting to play around with this time around. Gear is K-5 + kit 18-55 wr, no polariser as I think I'll be changing to an 18-135 wr in a few month(s) from now, except if I manage to find a sealed standart tamron/sigma zoom (16-50 is a bit out of my price range at the moment). All handheld, thus not the best shutter speeds for waterfalls I guess.

You may think of yourself as a "newbie" but many of these shots look very professional. As far as the waterfalls are concerned I have seen many pictures on this Forum in which the photograpers are deliberately trying to get the effect you have by using a slower shutter. It does not look like you had trouble hand-holding the camera at the slower speeds. You do sometimes tilt a bit to the right. Alll in all, I like the set and look forward to seeing more of your work.

Still just a mere novice here, with my old Vivitar lens (35mm f1:2.5) I dont have the money for all those fancy lenses you all use in here so I am just going to make the lenses I have work for now. I wanted to work with just this particular lens for a while and then I will move to my others. here is a couple of shots on the way to work this morning, I noticed all the breaks in the clouds with the suns rays cutting through them, so I just plotted out just the right spot to snap about fifteen shots, here are just a couple of my favorites out of that shoot.
