Couple of crackers on this page.Particularly like the gull Crosshair.

Up for dawn three times this week without getting any of the shots I was going for. Wrong choices of location more than anything. I need to find a program for correcting distortion on the 12-24 that works better than LR4 (second picture suffers badly but liked the last of the light).

Wow! Awesome bridge shot... I think I'm going to come over for a holiday mate.. you appear to be in the absolute best location on earth and it's no longer a secret!

OK.. now you have 'God' organizing your lighting for you... What's with that?

Cheers Steve. It worked out quite nice. Never tried (before or since) to do lightning shots. Fortunately I had my tripod with me. Don't know if its the right way to do it but I set it at ISO 400 and fairly large aperture as it was quite dark. Set up how I wanted for what foreground I had (only had the 10-20 with me so needed a foreground). Set it to bulb and then kept taking shots with the remote control of a few seconds duration - waiting for lightning strikes. As soon as I saw a flash I closed the shutter again. Worked out well on this occasion but maybe not so much for the other 20 or so...

If you ever come across to this neck of the woods give me a shout. I know some quite decent locations with decent pubs always on hand :-)

Got some new shots. Had some issues focusing in low light. I hope we get better low light af and predictive af as well.

A couple from Sunday, before it got too hot. Both with the FA100mm macro.

There was a FA100 macro at KEH that was tempting me. After looking at your pics, I had to pull the trigger and get it. I can't wait for it and my K5 to get here so I can see what I can do with the pair.

First outdoor model shot with the K5. Anna, DA35 Limited, iso 100, f4, 1/500.
Gold light reflector balanced against tripod (shot was hand held) and a small amount of PP in Lr3.

Not your typical portrait lens, I took my FA50 along too, but used sparingly and with care it's pretty darn good. It loves skin and hair !

First two are with helios 44-2, the last one is with the FA* 85

On our way home from a weekend trip my wife and I decided to take a detour to see the last remaining covered bridge in SC. It is now a park and not open to traffic. I used HDR mode in camera for the first shot. All with a Tamron 18-200 lens on my K5.
