Shot this last night with the 35 Macro, then applied sepia in PS.

Reflecting The Future in B&W

FS999 I love the unique bokeh in your flowers pictures. That Soligor lens in awesome!
This is an old pic that I recently converted to black and white. What do you guys think?

Jim - There are images that are so strong in composition that it doesn't matter if they are b&w or color. This is one of those images.

I think B&W conversion works quite well this image

Yes there is a lot going on in this shot. I wish I could go back in time and recompose this shot.

I don't think recomposing this shot would be of any improvement. It has soo much too look at, you don't get bored quickly and move on! It just works perfectly.

A ridiculously mistimed LE. Should have been longer by at least 60 seconds but LR4 didn't do a bad job of rescuing it. Showing someone round so my own photos weren't the priority.

Steve - it was probably the nicest dawn have seen for at least a year. Unfortunately the guy I was showing round didn't want to move once I got him to the Lake. About 200 yards further on through a bit of an overgrown path we would have got a killer shot looking into the most beautiful coloured clouds I think I've ever seen. All I could do was set off an LE with about 20 seconds prep and go back to him.

Taken with the little DA40. Not sure how I processed them as I did it after a 'few'. Exported them from LR4 then reset the settings.

Haven't posted in a long time... I see the quality of this thread has kept up - hope I don't pull it down too much

...and by posting heavily tone mapped images at that

Interesting tones in these mark.

I made that mistake a couple of times but now I use the snapshot tool so I have the settings if I ever need to go back.
