Kind of the wrong lens for the subject, but I had it on the camera at the time.

Generally it's not a good move to shoot landscape with super-zooms, so I should have used a prime. Since this needed 40mm, I could have used my DA40, which is very sharp across the frame, optically good, and also a very bright and contrasty lens. But I didn't have it with me. In a pinch I've also found my Tamron 17-50 is very good for landscape since it is very sharp (indeed, someone has printed a 4m wide poster of a panorama I shot of Mt Lindesay with the Tamron and K-5).

I'm still getting to know the 18-135, I guess. It seems a pretty good lens, even at the corners, where its performance has been criticised. DxO also has a lens module for it, and Lightroom also has a good profile for it too, which helps get the best out of it.

Two from Elgol.

I took the post office bus out to Elgol while I was studying abroad in Scotland back in '05. It was a really awesome place. I'd love to go back.

Shot these a few weeks ago near Seward, Alaska. First three with the DA35 Macro, others with the DA21. Looks like I need to up the saturation or something, they are looking a little pale here..?

Wanted to share this pic with no PP (yet). Love the way the K5 handled the light with no goofing around!
