Nice, that 5th one almost makes you ask what planet you were on has a otherworldly look to it.

Haunted Texas with the Pentax K5 & DA* 16-50mm

I have been wanting to photograph this old, abandoned school for over a year. I finally made the trip with a friend to Crockett to see what I could get. The forecast was calling for rain but somehow we managed to avoid it. The old school is or is not haunted, depending on your research sources. Personally, I don't believe in ghosts or hauntings but this old building has the stereotypical look of a place that might be haunted.

This school was built in the late 1800s and closed its doors for numerous reasons in the 1970s. The roof and upper levels of the school have collapsed and the building is quite dangerous. I did (like a fool) enter the building and shot numerous frames inside but the best you will get from this old structure is the exterior. You can read more about this old school at this link: http://www.texasescapes.com/EastTexasTowns/CrockettTexas/Mary-Allen-College-Crockett-Texas.htm

The biggest Aspen trees I've ever seen.

A great view.

There's a lot of this going on around here this time of year.

I was going through this page thinking - need to mention Freddie (again), then saw a great set from Dane Dog, then Rondecs then....

One of the best pages I've seen for a while. Superb work all. and I mean all, the way through. Not sure if I've put this one up before. Never tried cityscapes before this particular morning. Different but a fun experience.
