I hate to get caught up in that "I can't decide between color or B&W" routine… however, I envisioned this one in color- and then naturally recognized it for its B&W inherent qualities… after all, it is about geometry and shadow play

(Unfortunately- looks like these might suffer that loss of sharpness via flickr link syndrome.)

Frederic, I just noticed your signature. You may advise against LBA smoking and buying, but we sure appreciate that you actually practice- buy and smoke!
To put it in Hollywood western terms… we appreciate that you are a- K5 toting, lens slinging smoking gun!

Both are great ... if I had to close between the two ... would lean towards the color version. Just my 2 cents, J

I must say that colour doesn't bring much in this shot, so I go for the b&w.
edit: You better have to reduce the size of your photos yourself, before downloading and before Flickr does it for you

Another great series, Frédéric ... a super Soligor, as usual and the Sigma 30 with the tube is something else ... very nice, J

One with the DA *55 (I shot a similar scene with my K-01 and FA 31, but I think I like this version better).

I have a hard time imagining that the other shot could have been much better, at least... Lovely!

Running the risk of over-using the effect, here's another landscape with an aged look. The Luangwa river this time.

With the blured foreground, one would believe miniatures in the back

It's not exactly wide angle, taken at 260mm.

Well, it is. What else can you call pictures you take handheld without any prior planning? It's just the view from camp, taken while walking from our small bungalow to the main "building".

Liked this a lot, as a photo, and as a reminder of a place I enjoyed visiting some years ago!
