There is always excellent work on this thread. Very inspiring and humbling.
Wasn't planning to go to the Grand Canyon but popped in with my son to catch a sunset while we were touring schools. Should have brought my tripod....but jacked up the iso instead.
Here are two
Beautiful! Especially that first one - the low sun helps give a depth that I find hard to capture in vistas like these. Well done!

Thought I'd post a collection of Namibian sand dunes. I never tire of these landscapes - my apologies to those who do

Most of them have been posted before, but not all of them here, and not all together.

Thanks for looking

Savoche, I love them, and I can see why you never tire of them. On the other hand, my wife would dismiss them without a second glance: she likes green landscapes! Rocks and cliffs and desert hold no attraction for her.

Thanks, glad you like them

I know deserts are not everybody's cup of tea, but I've been taken by dry landscapes ever since my first visit to Namibia. There's some amazing plant life in the arid zones. You just have to look a little harder.

Thanks for the kind comments. We arrived just in time for the sunset. And with the GC it is hard to get a bad shot. Savoche those are some beautiful landscapes. Much different than what I normally see. Love the lines and shadows of the dunes.

Well, GC is so vast that, even if it's hard to get a bad shot, it's not easy to get a really good one either...

Thanks! But with the dunes, it really is hard to get bad shots, at least at sunrise/sunset when the curves and shadows magically appear

And like GC it's a pretty big place. You can spot some cars in #3 and #6 near the middle to give you a scale.
