A dove controvercy

I begin to review old picture, and I find some interesting ones. Here is a pair of doves, which seems to have an argument.

Frederic, as usual, your flower shots are fantastic.

Very far from your performances, two old (3 years) pictures that I found in a folder yesterday, when I want to transfer old files for storage on my reserve HDD.

Nice shooting Jimmy...love the red blooms!

FS- All fine shots, but I prefer 1 through 6 best!

A lucky day...not so lucky a night.....We have been inhabited by a Mockingbird family. I got this shot yesterday afternoon. These are plain looking birds but they are anything but ordinary! They are the kings of mimic in the bird world, and can mimic sounds of almost any bird and even machinery such as car alarms etc. They are loud, and sing constantly, even in the middle of the night it is not unusual to hear them singing away......such was the case last night. Right outside my window all night long!

Be sure to listen to this......it is similar to what I heard all through the night last night! Fascinating birds!

Regards!

Again, nice body of work you are building FS999. You have a good eye for shape and texture, which I find myself relying on more and more when confronted with nothing else to inspire me. I'll go on nature hikes hoping to do some birding or whatever, and everything seems to go into hiding somtimes, that's when I'm really glad I stuffed a macro lens or something else in the bag other that the long tele. heh heh.
Do those lillys grow wild where you live? I pay for those as cut flowers for my wife!

Rupert, you're a lucky guy No sleep, but some nice photos, and songs. A month ago, a MockingBird was somewhere, around my block. I was hearing it every day, but never have the chance to take a shot. There are big trees around. Only once I saw it for a split second, flying.

Jimmy, Rupert and all, you guys just keep producing like this, it makes a guy feel inadequate, heh.
But...With the holiday weekend I hope to get away from work a bit to go out and play.

Thanks, I am one of the least of the shooters here, but I do love to shoot. Have a great weekend!

I hope you guys listen to that video of the singing Mockingbird.....I've been playing it all morning...sounds like Summer and Spring in the air......I'll probably get to hear it again all night tonight in the "real"!

Regards!

Erictator, many times I'm feeling myself very far behind some exceptional photographers from this forum. But first, is the joy of taking pictures, and second, is a reason to improve myself, and to learn, even to find inspiration from people with very good eye, and technique.

Rupert, this Mockingbird recordings are super. I've downloaded it. And I'm very sorry I didn't have the idea to record this bird from around my block. Next time I'll remember.

If that's all you ever do, it's worth the effort. I'll never be a great shooter, but I enjoy every second of trying!
