k-5 and M42

Hello!

My name is Daniel. Iīm from Spain but Iīm living in Japan.
I want to buy a Pentax K-5 in January, for using it exclusively with old SMC Takumar M42 lenses. I would like to know how is your experience in this aspect: How works the light metering in av? Is correct or tends to overexpose or underexpose? I tested at the shop and the histograms seemed to be correct...I donīt know how it works in general. Can I trust the lightmter?
Any comments will be very appreciated!
Thanks!

Yes, I think you can trust it with every lens except the 15mm 3.5, which has issues for some strange reason.

Haven't got the K-5 (yet), but the K-7 was a big step forward from the K20D when it comes to exposure accuracy for all manual lenses, both K and m42. Should apply to the K-5 as well. I hardly never have to compensate on the K-7 (or not more often than with A glass), and with focus confirmation in addition Pentax offers one of the best possibilities to use old glass.
