I am very confused, I thought at these ISO's it was virtually non existent.

Purple Fringing also seems to be a problem...

I am using a Pentax-M 50mm 1.4 in perfect condition, flawless.

What could I be doing wrong here?
It would help if your images weren't underexposed by a couple of stops.
If you've found a way to make the lens/sensor combination give you fringing, you've learned what sort of condition is going to provide fringing with that lens/camera combination.

Ahh I see my error now, I do have a question though, I remember hearing something about using older manual lenses and exposure compensation but am not sure what if at all I would need to set my camera at for manual lenses.

This all makes a lot of sense though and I am going to try that Topaz program while I am at it.

Yeah I know, to tell you the truth this is the nicest digital noise I have seen yet but nothing will compare to the old film grain, I rather like that....

i still love tri-x pushed to 16-3200 gives a grittiness to some subjects that just suits them so perfectly

don't have a sample handy of my own on line but from talking to anto at a movie premiere he used tri0-x a lot for joy division like this one
copyright of course is anton corbin

I'm shooting Glen Matlock on monday and aside from my digital i will take a couple of rolls of tri-x and a km (my mx is inoperable currently)
