Adorama Likes the K-5 for high ISO

Didn't see this elsewhere so posting.

High-ISO performance based on DXOmark.

Nothing startling but the recognition is wonderful.

15 Low-Light High-ISO All-Star Digital Cameras from Adorama Learning Center

Summary: Pentax 645D is in second, behind Phase I and ahead of Hasselblad. Many medium format are missing from DXOmark if I recall.

K-5 ahead of D7000 by a bit and second to 1D Mark IV. But very close. I'll take second to the Canon and consider it quite a compliment.

K-5 won't make me a better photographer (that's asking a lot) but should give me more keepers under certain important circumstances. I'll take that as well.

Yes, I just read this today as well. What caught my eye was author Resnick's comment "The 16MP, $1,375 Pentax K-5 has the best overall image quality of any APS sensor camera, regardless of price." Kudos to Pentax for keeping the pressure on the other guys.

$1375? Where did they get this price? It's $1493 on the Adorama website...

The prices are all over the place, going up and down by the day on multiple sites. You really have to stalk the web to wait for the price to drop.

Can they now somehow twist DPReview's arm to give K5 that overly deserved 'GOLD'
