K20D.

Before that, K10D.

Before that, *ist DS.

Before that, MX and KX.

And I still use all of them (except of course the film cameras, but I just can't part with them).

Please could K200D to K7/K5 please comment on the handling and weight balance of the camera? I love my K200D and I will be keeping it, but would like an upgrade that feels at least as solid. My friends with Canon/Nikon all comment how well built my K200D is and being my first DSLR, it is an attribute I now consider essential.

Just got a K-5.

First DSLR was a *ist DS.
Second was a K-7, which I still have.
Third was a cheap K10D, which I just traded in to help buy a K-5 (bought the K10D after selling the *ist DS to a friend as I prefer having two bodies).
Forth is the K-5 which will be the K-7's partner. The same accessories and layout make things much easier. The K-7/K-5 body style is the best I've ever used.

I'm in the process of changing from an Olympus 4/3rds kit with an E-3, ZD 8mm FE, ZD 12-60 SWD and ZD 50-200 SWD back to Pentax K (I shot with a K20D and DA* lenses before).

I've changed my style a bit over the last 18 months and now mostly do landscape and street/travel photography, so the dynamic range and high-iso of the K-5 plus the quality and size of the DA Ltd primes (I'm getting the 15/f4, 35mm Macro and 70/f2.4) should be great

My first real camera was a Minolta X-500 and I used it for many years.
I worked a bit with some other Minolta AF cameras and a Canon 50D.
Considering my main personal gear, however, I directly switched from my old Minolta to the Pentax K-5...

Sears 110 from santa -> grandfather's Spotmatic (still have) -> new Pentax 35mm p/s that aunt dropped in lake and replaced with Canon 35mm p/s -> new Pentax MZ5n (still have) -> used Canon G2 p/s -> new Sony P200 p/s -> used K100Ds (still have) -> used K10 (still have) -> new Canon s90 p/s (still have) -> new K5

I also acquired a Polaroid SX-70 and a Minox (with light metre) somewhere back before the MZ5n that I still have.

Gotta say I am very impressed with K5

Panasonic FZ-5.

It has served me well, but has been annoying me for quite some time by its lack of high ISO capability, lack of true manual focus, and inability to get good narrow depth of field. Otherwise a great little camera! I will be missing the diminutive size of this camera now that i have the K-5!

Kkkkkkk-5

Bought a canon 50D (last June)

low noise was a major issue even at ISO200.

now have a k-5. amazing. build quality, IQ, pancake lenses, noise performance and AF is easily faster than the canon.

Hello,

Just received my K5 that will replace (most of the time) the K10D I owned in the last 4 years.
I am a very happy man!

I was using a Kodak Brownie. My K-5 really looks nice, but I'm having trouble putting in the film.

You have to chop it up really fine and shove it in the small slot on the right rear of the camera.

NaCl(but it only takes Kodachrome)H2O
