Previous camera was the K-7 (so my vote ties the score between K20D and K-7 again ), but this wasn't my first Pentax DSLR.

I started with my Dad's P50, after which I got a SFXn for myself. 15 Years later I finally moved to digital with the *istDS, which was followed by the K10D and the K20D when they were introduced. Then the K-7 and now I'm loving the K-5.

Just got my first dSLR - the K5. +Tamron 17-50 f/2.8 and Pentax 15mm f/4.0. Before that I was shooting mostly film with my Leica M3 and Zenit 19 and point-and-shoots (Canon Pro1 and Sony F717)

The K5 feels like a 'super' *ist DS - the fact that the latter uses the same pentaprism, top LCD and almost identical viewfinder helps smooth the transition. Loved the DS, but now seems so lacking in features, though with the kit lens 6 mpx is enough most of the time. Very pleased so far with the K5 - can't really see where it could be improved significantly, now saving for a 18-135 to match...

Purchased my first DSLR, the K-x in Aug. 2010, used K-7 in Oct. 2011, and used K-5 in the beginning of December.
While I loved the other two, the K-5 beats them.

My first real camera was a Nikon D90. I used to have quite a kit and was lusting over a D7000. But i wanted to get into film, so my grandfather unloaded all his gear onto me, which was all Pentax.
So I did a lot of research and saw that the K-5 was the top of the line Pentax DSLR and dove right in. Sold all my Nikon gear and switched over to Pentax.

The K-5 kicks the D90's @ss in every respect. I just wish Pentax had the choices that Nikon has regarding lenses, you have to make more compromises when your a Pentaxian. But I dont regret my move at all.

First digital was a K10 which I used for 4 years.

K10 is now in a the backup role but still prefer it for portraits for some reason.

Still getting used to the K5 I guess.

After creating this poll just over a year ago, I now enter the K20D as the primary camera I used before the K-5. I just made the upgrade two weeks ago, and wow - no regrets here!!!

Leica R6.2, the K5 is has quite similar dimensions. Decent fixed focal length are available from Pentax.
Still using Alpa, Sigma, Canon, Nikon, Ricoh on a regular basis.

K10D - Aug 2008
K20D - Mar 2009
K7 - Mar 2010
K5 - Dec 2011

As I shoot for a school environment, I needed the faster AF from the K20D to the K7. Now that the price K5 of the K5 has dropped to SGD$1220 (USD$942.91), I decided it was time as my shutter count is already 78K.
