Camera Armor for the K-5

Hi,

I have had a Camera Armor silicone jacket on my K10D for a couple of years and while it adds a little builk, I'm thankful of the peace of mind offered by its extra protection and the fact that it helps keep the exterior of my camera 'like new'.

I just e-mailed them to ask if they would be doing a version for the K-5, but the e-mail bounced back and some of the web pages don't even work, so I'm not holding much hope.

Does anyone know if there's anything similar out there for the K-5?

Thanks,

Adam

I'd recommend ghost armor or something similar- it can be fitted to anything, pretty much!

nothing is better for protecting your DSLR than Camera Armor by MADE Products. This "ghost armor" stuff is NOT the same sort of product. I would help to know the difference before recommending something. "Ghost Armor" does not offer any sort of bump/drop cushioning protection as does Camera Armor. Also the feel of Camera Armor is very tactile and in a good way. It actually feels tackier when wet than it already does.

I looked at the site and looks as if someone buggered the server config. I would give it a day or two for them to get it straightened out. Still I don't know how long, if ever before they offer Camera Armor for the K-5, I don't believe it ever came out for the K-7 but the model that fits the K10D is supposed to also work on the K20D. So it might just be another case of a company not wanting to devote the design costs for Pentax. But if enough folks email who knows...it might not take that many emails to nudge them. The K-5/7 are both popular.
