Multiple light types

With interest I followed a thread about the K5 and attached flash performance. I did experience a little, but not troubling, bit of that; easily compensated in my experience. But I attended a family wedding this past weekend and took some random shots in the church and at the reception. I did not use flash in order to not mess with the wedding photographer. My experience is that the mixed lighting can very easily throw off not only the white balance but the exposure and focus as well. It's almost like shutter delay is on in some shots.

I can't really prove this because of the random nature of the pictures. Has anyone else found processing instability such as this in your experience? I have had nothing but stellar performance from this camera using natural light outside in a variety of circumstances.

I made similar experience under artificial light of different sources. The AF shifted away. After many shots and trials I ended up setting the AF adjustment to -10 in one situation, and in another with +2. Also the distance makes a difference. I never managed to get reliable sharpness.
