K-5 and DA 18-135mm for sports

I've been using the DA 1:3.5-5.6 18-135mm for a variety of photos, in both good and bad light. It focuses very quickly, and because of the outstanding high-ISO performance of the K-5, gives good image quality at 3200 and 6400. This makes the lens effectively pretty fast. The 18-135mm range converts to 27-202mm in 35mm terms, which would probably cover most of the sports you mention. So I think it would be pretty good for sports, except for action across a very large field.
