K-5 Dust Removal

I've just received my K-5 and I'm loving it. I'm just a bit concerned because the dust removal process is so silent when compared to my other camera, the K-x. Is this normal?

Yes, it is silent, it is a different implementation from the K-x.

I am hoping it is as good as my K20D......20K+ shots and never a problem with dust particles. I have it set to come on at every start, and it is apparent that it works wonders.
Regards!

My K-7 is better at dust removal than my K-20D. So each generation of the "flagship" is getting better at dust removal.

I cannot recall cleaning the K-7 sensor ever but the K-5 has dust(besides the string) at image 458

Every camera gets dust.. there's just no avoiding the big gaping hole when you remove the lens. Ive even had to blow dust from my gf1 and that uses olympus's dust removal (which is the best).

The one camera I hated for dust was the d3, i felt like i had to clean the sensor every few lens swaps.. the k5 is ALOT better.
