Thats good news since my local store, Ace Photo in Ashburn, VA, just sent mine back for dealer initiated repair or replacement. I actually hope Pentax is just replacing these returns since that should be a much faster turnaround.

So here's hoping that B&H is right and that Pentax is no longer shipping defective cameras.

Ace was absolutely great in this situation considering that they are handling this despite me being a couple of days beyond their 2 week return policy! They actually offered a instant replacement, but both of the K-5s they had in stock also had stains (so they are going back too).
