There is no 'best camera'. Each individual has their own needs and 'best' camera that they need. End of story.

So wierd. K-5 the winner despite for every category of assessment by this Phobographer duo going to other cameras. K-5 apparently clinching the High ISO and IQ categories, but not really according to their conclusions...

Very weird piece!
I wonder how a camera (as opposed to a lens) can have a "fringing issue"?

Funny that for high iso performance the guy writing the head to head competition gives the award to the 7D, despite the fact that Dxo mark shows the K5 spanking the 7D in their tests. The same when the writer says that while tests may show that the K5 has better dynamic range than the K5, he "almost begs to differ." Sort of feels like he really, really likes shooting with his 7D and grudgingly is willing to say that the K5 is OK too.

As far as purple fringing goes, there were some comments early on on this site that maybe the K5 sensor magnified purple fringing, although why, I would have no idea. Seems like if it was a problem early on, it has been fixed.

Very true. But if tests and reviews like this one are to be trusted, then, in most cases, that camera will be the K-5. For now at least.
