Used K5 Body on B&H for 1189

I called them before on one of those. No manufacturers warranty. Just the B&H 30 day. So if stains take awhile to show up... 10 foot pole and all that.

I bought a K20 instead and will get a K5 after the problem and sales channels are sorted out.

As far as I recall, there was one listed at B&H about two weeks ago for the same price. It sold quickly. I do wonder, however, if this might be the same one that someone bought a couple weeks ago and perhaps returned because it did in fact have a sensor stain.

I took a chance recently with a used K-5 from a different store and so far it's worked out very well. My unit was a newer serial number 396xxxx and had only 7 shots on the shutter. I am fairly certain it was a replacement that someone receieved for a defective body but by the time they got it back from Pentax they had already bought into another system and so they traded the K-5 in as well as soon as they got it back. I realize I am speculating a bit, but I can't seem to come up with another plausible explanation as to how the place I bought it from ended up with a used K-5 with a clean sensor and 7 shots on it.
