Looks as if no one will be discounting the silver.

I have a feeling they will sell out quickly. No reason to discount them.

Interesting. A colleague of mine here at work talks up the Micro 4/3rds, and prefers EVIL. Any reasons you don't like it?

But after seeing the kind of quality I've shot with my K20D + DA* 200 f/2.8, he's getting increasingly interested, because Pentax bodies and APS-C sized lenses are hardly any bigger. If Pentax ever introduces an EVIL, I might try to talk him into switching.
They're nice cameras with overall good image quality, but I just don't like not having a viewfinder. I have an e-p1 which doesn't support the accessory viewfinder. Other than that there is just something about them that doesn't resonate with me.

Mine just arrived in the mail today. Unfortunately I'm five (5) states away. I'm flying tomorrow morning and will have time to play before Sebring on Thursday (through Saturday). I'll have three (3) full days of experimentation.

I'd love to see what a silver K-5 looks like with black limited lenses. I've seen pics with silver ones, but I wonder if it would look dumb with the black lenses most of us own...

Received mine today as well. Only had about half an hour to look it over before I had to go to work.

In my opinion, the silver finish looks very similar to that of the metal on the K1000 film camera. If one of the others doesn't beat me to it, I will be happy to post a pic with a black lens. Honestly, you have the larger areas in black on both sides of the lens mount (rubber grip areas) and the back of the camera is still black... it comes off looking the same as the early K series film camera's or the MZ/ZX series film cameras looked mounted with standard PK, M, or A lenses (again, just my opinion.)

yes, please post un-edited pics ... I was going to get it for sure and was telling a friend of mine. But he said it's going to look cheap and amateurish like the silver Rebel. At first I was like lol u jelly, but then I kinda want to see what it really looks like instead of stock photos.
