Refurb K-5s showing up?

I note that Prodigital is offering refurbed K-5s on eBay. I wonder if the supply of cameras with replaced sensors is starting to come through?

The price was only $50 lower than new ones, so hardly a great deal.

Actually, it might be a very good deal. Consider that for a $50.00 saving you are getting a camera that would most likely have had a full QC inspection.
I've long maintained that QC issues are consumer driven, and that manufacturers wouldn't have so many issues if we didn't want the latest technology for the least amount of money.

They started showing up on ebay a month ago, though not at Prodigital, and the price was less - around $1250.

I would not, personally.

I would, personally, but not yet at the current price. I will replace my K7 with a second K5 when the price drops somewhere below $1000. So I've got a while.

Why the bitterness towards those who are smitten by the K5?
