k-5, green button - why

Hi,

I have a question regarding the green button. I will have to get used to the placement of Auto-focus button. I am used to that being right next to the AE-L button.

So what happens a lot is that I am in T-Av mode, and instead of AF button, I accidentally press the green button - which resets the aperture and shutter settings.

Is there any way to disable the green button? I understand that the button is disabled when you are in M model. But specifically, is there any way to disable this button in all modes?

Thank you,

Abhi

Hi Abhi,

I think the AF button is pretty easily located inside the raised AF point mode dial. There's a totally different feel. I don't think that it's possible to disable it.

In the menu:
- camera tab, 5th sub tab, third option
- Last line on that screen
- Select what the green button should do

Awww... The green button is super nice once you learn to use it. You can also custom set it's function.
