Another person who couldn't be bothered to do their research prior to buying a camera?
What the heck is the internet good for?
To the OP, stop downloading porn and use the 'net for other stuff.

O my god, the AF isn't even working when you are shooting in a pool.

I love that videowork, amazing when you don't have to worry about your gear.

Although my opinion of that was that it was definitely SDM related.

The FAT32 file system is locked at a max file size of just barely over 4Gb, has anyone shot a 10 min clip to see file size? if its less than 4GB I wonder what the controlling factor is?

Wow. Canon and Nikon fanboys are so intimidated by this camera that they are sending record numbers of trolls into the forum.

But not your English. You could say "far superior to that", or "far better than that."

Sorry

Well if I was a Canon fanboy I would be intimidated by the K-5 too, since it other than its IQ is probably higher than the 7D.. Nikon's D7000 still has a heck of a price advantage, but on the body only. So if your expecting to get what you pay for, they are doing just fine.. heck, for this OP troll, he should have bought a D7000 for his video.. then been frustrated by it's lower FPS still shooting and buffer issues. But then again, opinions are like @-holes, everyone has one.

Otis recommends that while surfing, the OP read a few of the Cartoons for better purchasing knowledge.......

Attachment 86950

Otis did a lot of research before he ordered my K5. When it arrived, he was a little worried that I might not be happy.......

But of course I was more than just happy, I was absolutely delighted....in case you guys didn't already know that?

Best Regards!

BTW-Do send that K5 back...it deserves a Happy Home where it is appreciated and loved. Otherwise, you could end up facing charges of camera abuse.......Otis says that carries a very stiff penalty, and a minimum of two years having to shoot with a Canon. I can't imagine the pain that could bring........

if the k5 have the video abilities of the 7D it would have been the perfect camera for this year! but auto ISO and ugly compression kills its video features

In addition also a true speed burst mode, which stops not to block,
if I want to take an animal in motion and in the second following a car moves I can do, I do not have to wait until the buffer empties,
If continuous shooting is your thing, than you should have researched more and looked at a Canon 7D, it can get around 7-8fps constant, albeit somewhat overexposed shots 7D isn't that much more than a K-5, But some of the Canon Glass sure is... if you want image stabilization which is not needed in Pentax glass since they smartly do it in the body.

I think with firmware updates Pentax could vastly improve their continuous shooting modes and give users more control over it etc. But 7 FPS for 3+ seconds is usually long enough to catch the main point of action of almost any situation. But it sure can be hard to sit and wait for the buffer while action is on going!

Rupert, you should have an entire thread of "Just ask Otis" because he does seem well informed.

We could have our own "Dear Abbey" column.

"Dear Otis"
