Thanks for NOTHING Pentax Forums!

You went and posted the most jaw-dropping, saliva-inducing review of a camera I've ever seen. Now, me and my K-7 have K-5 envy. Thanks for nothing!

It's not PF crew fault anyway. Blame Pentax for selling it. I believe we are all just victims of the irresistible camera.

There's really not much point in resisting. You'll just make yourself miserable then eventually give in anyway.

When you get the K5, take a few shots with the super AF and metering, use the fantastic high ISO settings, all feelings of anger will disappear in a heartbeat. Guaranteed by Otis. If it wasn't so, you could count on Otis to tell you, he pulls no punches, just tells it like it is.
Regards

Well I resisted reading the review, until yesterday.
I'm retired, with too much time and not enough money on my hands, and have spent the last two days putting it in a 'cart' and removing it.

I love my K10, but after reading about the faster focus, and seeing some high ISO pics, etc., it's simply pushing me over the edge!

I think many of us are on that edge.
The short lived B&H price of $1,299 would have had me, and probably others, jumping in if seen in time.

Just knock even 50 bucks off that sucker and count me in, it's just a matter of getting a bargain now
That is, if I can get the Otis guarantee in writing

Thanks everyone! Of course this was a joke... sort of. In all seriousness, I love my K-7 but the K-5 looks truly outstanding. Sadly, I think my wife would end my life early if I bought one right this moment!

Had a K-7, sold it when it was still going for $800 on ebay and got the K-5, worth it 100%

Would buy again

and again

and again

and again

and again

and perhaps another time, but that would be it.

The bodies are a look-alike (essentially) other than the K-5 clearly printed on it. Are you certain she'll notice?

Joking also.... I'm all for marital bliss with delayed satisfaction of techno desires vs. unleashing the might of the honourable minister of war and finance in the home for the sake of instant gratification... But I won't kid you on that either, since I convinced the boss to get one myself...
