I have used each of the trays. I am primarily using the D-Li90 tray for two reasons - it weighs far less than the AA with Eneloops & the SD card slot has saved me from the dreaded "No Memory Card Found" popup!

I have the AA tray in a hardcase that goes with me when I take a large bag of gear because I use Eneloops in my K-x and AAs in my flash so it adds to the "what if" protection. With the low cost of completely satisfactory 3rd party D-Li90 batteries its become less of a burden to use them. I still would rather have all AAs but since the K-5 body can't accommodate them I have to use D-Li90s and using 2 of them between the body and grip has worked rather well for me over the past month.

I've never used my AA tray, like Chex above any AA's I'm carrying are for the Metz 58 that lives in my bag
