Canadian prices are as good or better than US these days. Who'd have ever thought? Prodigital2000 has the best prices I've seen. I've only bought small items there. They are pretty reputable I think. Though they have tighter return policies so be aware of that. You might get a price match from some of the other guys. The Camera Store in Calgary is very competitive and top notch service. There aren't official "kits" in Canada, just store specific combos.

The Camera Store in Calgary has the K5 and 18-135 Kit, but it is over 2 grand. Maybe call them and see if you can get them down. Hope this helps.

Here in the UK I bought my "kit" for 1470UKP - it came in two separate boxes.
Very happy with the combo so far - perfect for travel

I bought an 18-135 for $490.25 from Amazon. It was down to $483 for a while, but I waited to long. Now all I need is my K-5 back from C.R.I.S. and I'll be able to use it. Ahhh... sweet torture...

prodigital2000 and 123easyship from ebay probably has one of the best prices around, at least for Canadians. They will charge you tax (if you're in Canada), but you'll get 2 year canadian warranty for pentax gear. I just bought the K5 and 18-135mm lens from them recently - very fast shipping. Now I don't know if the earthquake has anything to do with it, but their pentax stock seems to be very limited lately

k5 + 18-135

I managed to get ny kit for 1475€, due to a pricing mistake that the retailer then stood by, courageously...

Australian stores sell K5 and 18-135 as a kit. It has been advertised that way since before it was released at Photokina. When mine arrived they were separately boxed - I don't know if this is normal or not. Best Aussie price (not includung grey imports) seems to be about AU$2130 at the moment - tax is not a factor - we all pay the same 10% GST. Earthquake and tsumani haven't had any effect (yet) although it may have affected some/all Canon and Nikon prices.

My kit came together in one box.
