the main point is that with PD2000, I don't think you can return unless it is defective (I am not sure). So, the chance of getting a less than 'new' item is less likely than the regular B&M store.
I didn't think you were. I think we are on two different pages here. I don't remember their terms but in the case of Ebay, returns were allowed IIRC but it may well have been for defect only. In my case, it's risky buying across the border (warranty and all that) but the prices were such that I was willing to take the chance. 2 of the lenses came with 7 year Mack warranties. In one case I had to write them and have them send the warranty because their shipping dept forgot to pack it in the box (actually that lens came in a padded envelope). In the end though, they were quite responsive and willing to correct any mistakes they had made so I'm still calling all 3 times, good experiences. I'm not such a hothead that I can't allow for 'mistakes happen'.
