Finally here

My K5 finally arrived, okay it only took 10 days from day of ordering so that is pretty good but I am not very patient.
I have charged up the battery, updated the firmware and now its bedtime
At least I don't have to be at work until 11 tomorrow.
I also received the da35mmf2.4 lens and from the playing around I did here, it takes nice photos of my camera bag and the stereo.
I have given my K10d to my daughter, along with an 18-55mm, and a 50-200mm zoom lens so she is set up okay.
That leaves me with the 35mm, 100macro and 55-300 zoom, all Pentax lenses.
Anyways its here and I am smiling.

Paul.

I'm in the same boat - or have been for two weeks. The high ISO ability is really great, but there's some learning curve from K-10 to K-5 which I'm navigating....

So the camera finally comes, and then I tear my retina so off to Vancouver for emergency surgery. Now I have to keep my head looking at the floor for the next 3 days.
I guess I could take pictures of my feet but they are ugly, and unlike my wife I don't have cool shoes.
So far the camera seems fantastic, and I can't wait to take time and take photos.

Paul.

What bad luck, Paul! Hang in there, the K-5 experience will make up for the frustrating wait. I hope your eye heals well, and soon.

Hate to hear that Paul.
Hope you can read the manual with your good eye!
