Can anyone recommend a decent external microphone for live music? That's under $100?
I tried to record some live music the other night and was disappointed with the sound of the K5. It was mudded and lifeless. I didn't purchase the K5 for it's video but it would be nice if it had decent sound. I'm thinking an external mic would be a big improvement but there are so many.

Not great for music but highly recommended from when I worked at Sony, its got like a 50m range which is insane for Blutooth.

The other cool thing is you can plug headphones into receiver to monitor aswell as a head phone in the transmitter so you can tell the other person with the microphone what to do via intercom! I haven't jumped into video with my DSLR yet but if I did this would be the go

Nikon is preparing a nice product, a stereo mic than you can mount on the hot shoe. It should be compatible with Pentax.
