Do Stains Increase?

After buying my K5 last November, I figured out these famous stains after the issue became known to everybody. I neglected the stains up to now and did not send camera back ss my stains were very few and small. But I wonder whether these may increase as the reason for the stains is said to be the heating sensor. I neither shoot long exposures frequently nor video. Now I wonder whether these stains may increase with possible usage of video or long exposure shots. Can anybody tell me something on the issue…?

Theoretically yes they can- I would get your camera fixed under warranty before they expire.

Thx Adam. Though I do not like the idea to be away from my camera for some weeks, yes I'll send it to be fixed.
