Got 4.5 hours on this subject but not nearly enough! Here is my bi-color WIP of IC1805 in H-alpha and OIII
8x15min ISO400 h-alpha
11x15min ISO 400 OIII
Pentax k5 full spectrum mod with screw on TEC cooler.
Orion Achro Refractor with Omega Optical H-alpha filter and Celestron OIII filter

Hope you like it even with it being a bit noisey for my taste!

I just received a copy of Sky & Telescope's "Skywatch 2016" magazine where my Bird Rock photo appears full page on the inside back cover. Watch for it at your newsstand.

Wow. Congrats.

It's a realization, for a picture taken with a DSLR to be among a lot of shots taken with dedicated astro cameras, with lot of stacked exposures and postprocessing. Pentax could choose your picture for their advertising.

thanks. My old K5 is getting a little out of style now, but she's still my go to for the milky way shots using the OGPS1.
Here is the actual image, btw, which is posted elsewhere in this thread im sure:

Very very nice!

I was on a short trip in Brittany last September and hoped to make such a photo - had starry nights but did not find any rock like this :-(

Great!

Yep! USA and the California Coast is on my list since years. It's working itself upward and someday I'll be there - pentaxing

Here is an comp I took in Moon Lake Utah back in September.

Foreground image at 275 seconds at ISO 1000
Background image at 300 seconds at ISO 1000 with the O-GPS1

Edited in Photoshop. I still need to get better at comps!
