Fine pics! All three are great.
HST palette shows the nebulosity best on my screen. But the greenish tint desturbs me because for me this color does not fit into the night sky.
So my favorite is bicolor!

Well done.

Your M42 colours aren't the usual ones and so all three images are shaking the world discs in the heads of the beholders.

So I like the bicolor most, because it shakes least...

Very cool image. Why do you suppose some of the stars came out so big? They don't look like they are streaking or have any tails, they are just big.

Actually, a couple of those are planets, right? Still curious on why they appear so much bigger though

The one on the left is Altair and the 3 on the right are Saturn (left), Mars (top), Antares (right)

I assume they are that bright because this was a longer shot so I captured more light and when I do my edits to enhance the Milky Way they are also brightened.

Yeah, I get that they are brighter but that shouldn't actually make them larger, should it? Perhaps it was part of your PP that caused this result?

Nope, the RAW image also has them that big. My PP mostly focuses on adding contrast (via curves) to bring out the Milky Way.
