Just pulled the trigger on a K5 Purchase...

After 2 months an item of mine sold on Ebay (what can you say, I'm patient). So I finally had the money for a K-5 purchase. Been waiting a long time to upgrade from my *ist DL (owned since April 2006). If all goes well, should be here tomorrow.

Congratulations, you're going to love it.

I read some folks have the patience to charge their battery first, not me, i found their was enough charge left in the new battery to go out immeditely and have fun with it.

Unfortunately, i found that there were a few new button sequences to use the dang thing. For example, if you're in the info screen and have AF focus mode on select, you have to press OK button once to get between the regular info screen and the focus point select screen.

But you'll catch on - well worth the learning curve!!!!

There's a custom function to change that default behavior so that it moves the AF point by default.

I'm sure you'll find the K-5 a quantum leap in advancement over the *ist DL.
Enjoy it.

Wow, from *ist DL to K5....methinks you're going to be spending a lot of time with the manual.

You'll love the new camera, though.

Whats a manual?

Yeah, as I mentioned to someone else recently, I really didn't think the glass before body rule applied to me at this crossroads.

And it arrived today. One day late because UPS tossed it on the wrong truck yesterday.
