When bought my Pentax, someone told me I was joining a cult. I think he was right!

When Pentax was finally making 10MP cameras, the others were making 12 & 14MP. Now that Pentax is making 16MP, the others are making 18MP and full-frames.

He loses ALL credibility with this comment. I'd be thrilled if the K5 were 12MP. Imagine the high-ISO IQ!

I agree!

That review link is no more available.
Thanks a lot crossover37 for archiving this in our threads

I am new to DSLR community and I have seen my K-r out performing Canikons (in same catergory) in all aspects and rather challenges some high end models too. What I feel is, Photography is all about the photographer, camera is just a tool to enjoy your journey!

You have to know your camera what it can do, what it cant do. You just cannot sit and cry that Canikons have more megapixels and Pentax has less.

If I would have had enough budget, I wouldn't have settled with K-r, I would have bought K-5.

As hilarious as this sounds it's probably accurate.

I bought my K-5 from B&H several months ago, but my photography skills are still the same. Maybe I should write a bad review about the camera. That way I don't have to admit this ain't my fault. Blame the camera, and I won't have to work harder perfecting my skills

I presume he took the image with his new canon?

Still I'm certain he's correct in his assertion of "Canon being two generations ahead of Pentax". What he didn't allow for, is that, in not looking at other sensor sources this has lead to some severe in breeding.

Not so. The 72 weather seals keep out smoke, and the water used to extinguish the fires. Plus, the high ISO performance allows great fire lit portraits of your fellow Pentaxians.

A buddy of mine uses a 7D, and as such spends time on Canon forums. Apparently there is much gnashing of teeth over the fact that we have a better sensor than they do, and Canon appears to be doing nothing about it.
Apparently the new 60D uses a recycled sensor from a couple of years ago.

I have been a perfect driver for more than 30 years.

My car is a Toyota. Every time I take it for a spin, it runs into something, or runs over a pedestrian. I have seen car owners with other brands who don't have this problem.

A year ago, I bought a new Toyota. I expected it to solve my problem. It didn't. So now I've wasted a lot of money.

I'll never buy a Toyota again.
