Monitor when turning K-5 on

Has anyone found a way for the INFO monitor not to turn on when camera is turned on? It's a bit annoying ...

Yes, there is a setting for this at the end of the record menu I believe.

it is on the first page of the workingset, statusscreen (I think since mine talks Dutch) is the bottom option..

Ah, that one is the "Guide Display". On the Same Set Up page (1) Set the Guide Display time to Off rather than the default 3sec.

As for the other "Info" screens, pressing the Info button cycles Status Screen (which may be switched off entirely- reproduces top LCD information) to Control Panel (quick change of some settings) to Electronic Level to Blank. The K-5 remembers where you last left it so you can leave it on Blank and ensure no rear display shows at all until you use the Info button.
