$150 Instant Rebate!

Just got an email for Father's Day from one of the sponsors here - Adorama - that there is a $150 INSTANT REBATE on the K-5.

I think it is actually the same (or roughly the same) price as it was before. The regular price shot up for the rebate!

It is exactly the same price - I have been tracking the price for a while now. I am hoping to pull the trigger soon on the K-5. What they are doing here just smells bad IMO.

Its been $1,327.51 for while now. Looks like they jacked it up to $1,599.95 then put a $150 rebate on it -- making it $1,449.95. Pretty sad really. Makes me not want to shop there at all anymore.

If they had put the $150 IR on the $1450 making it $1300 total, or even better, on the $1328 it has been for the last month, making it $1180 , it would be a good deal.

As it stands now, they are just preying on consumer stupidity

This price is up about $100 more than earlier in the week. The 'Like New' camera was $1083. I almost bought one then. Not now though.

I'm disappointed in what Adorama has done also. I thought they were better than that.

I just bought it from Amazon 3 days ago when it was $1082 and it increase $100 the next day. I just receive my camera yesterday and loving it!

That's correct but you can buy a 1 year warranty from SquareTrade for $45.

I got mine last week from Amazon for $1298 (free shipping), that was a brand new(sealed) copy.
