I don't think you did it right. Mine is a 645D now. Try again...

Just lucky you didn't install the UK version or you'd still hear your camera whining after it was turned off. Yeah, I know, that's nasty.
Is that the camera or the user whining?

I think we need to start a new thread with cos play photos.

From SuperNova 2011 ...

This girl was a very popular target for photographers:

When her eyes suddenly lit up I nearly screamed, but fortunately I remembered to press the shutter button:

This girl was the tallest girl I've met - she's at least one head above me:

Aww so cute - Jedi master and his young padawan ...

I've always had a thing about men in uniform ... c'est moi:

If I was wearing cosplay this is probably what I will wear:

This pink assault rifle will go nicely with my Hello Kitty K-5:

Back to topic - haven't upgraded yet. Too scared to.

What's to be scared of Christine?
It's an official firmware update (that you may or may not use), not affecting warranty and will be included in any future firmware updates (you can be sure there will be more...)

I have a few thousand convention cosplay photos to choose from. I'll hold back though.

My K-5 is at CRIS, so no firmware updates for me. Pentax, where are updates for the K-7? It's not that old of a camera.....

Does any one knows if with the Pentax GPS Module can be triggered on Hot Shoe above the 1/180s sync flash?

I already a Bilora Geotagger that works like a charm but i need to always attention to shoot inside Flash Sync Speed, which sometime on Daylight is not what i want if i want a shallow DOP. Solution: take a dummy picture.

You don't need the USB cable to upgrade the Firmware. or am I missing something?

I don't think it uses the flash syn speed at all as its never using a flash when used. And its purpose of a astrotracer takes up to 300s to take the one picture so I would say no. Its communicating to the camera in a whole other method.

You do to access the card if you don't have a card reader.

Its a standard Micro B USB cable, so if you have lost it, don't pay top dollar replacing it if you ever care to...

I usually upgrade whenever there's a new update available, but this one seems to serve no purpose other than to support the GPS unit that I'm not going to buy, at least for now.
