Noise while turning on K5 - Not Dust Removal

I'm testing my brand new K5 (it arrived today) and suddenly it started making a metallic (as if something is scratching) noise when i turn it on. I've disable the startup dust removal and it makes the same noise. I tried to turn it on without lens and samme thing happens. Besides being annoying i'm afraid something is wrong.

Besides this when i manually force the dust removal to work i don't feel or hear a thing.

Any comments?

it's only when it powers on. Or by switch from OFF to ON or by pressing shutter after it goes into stanby.
I can feel it vibrating somewhere inside.

Are you sure it is not the anti-shake mechanism? The anti-shake system triggers itself so it can be ready immediately after you turn on or bring the camera from standby. When this happens i can hear a very faint noise in my camera. I wonder if it that. Have you tried turning off the image stabilization?

Yes! I've tried without Shake Reduction and Dust Removal. Same symptoms.

...Well the camera seems to be working fine besides this, i'm going to leave it during the night without batteries and see if something changes.

I'm sure it's pretty normal, don't get overly paranoid. Just go out and shoot...

The sound your hearing is normal on start-up. It's very quick very short little scratch type sound when you turn the camera on.

Aperture control lever motor cycling at power-up. Normal at least on K7.

Yep, if you look closely you can see the aperture control lever twitch slightly at startup when it makes that sound.
