spec appeared on viewfinder optical path

hi k5erazzi,

so today i took a look through my viewfinder and noticed a tiny dark spec on the righthand side. this was not present as of last night, so it seems to have been conjured up out of nowhere!

i do not see the spec with liveview, and the spec does not appear on images. i've cleaned the outside of the viewfinder with no luck, spec remains. i admit i am not too familiar with the camera innards, but could the spec be on the mirror?

any tips on troubleshooting or cleaning this spec away would be great, thanks!

It's most likely a spec on the focusing screen itself. It should be easy to blow off and remove, but from inside the camera body.
