Welcome to the Club!

Download and browse the manual so you have a clue of where to get started. Put the lens on the camera, charge the battery, put the card in, turn on the camera, go through the startup setup, and go take some photos. Worry about the rest when there's a need to.

Enjoy your new camera.

Hard drive space. Make sure you have lots of it.

And a dedicated external hard drive for backups.

Welcome and enjoy the camera.

The title was no worse than

"finally pulled the trigger"
"pulled the trigger"
"it's on it's way"
"incoming"
"new baby"
...and a host of others I've seen on the internet.

And it has arrived! i am happy to report of great success, with no obvious malfunctions. was a spec o' dust on the sensor, but that cleared off with the camera self-cleaning.
