No, it is not a newer 1.11 for K-7, it is 1.11 for the K-5.
Thanks ... I saw that it was for the K-5 and K-r ... but the homepage had me think that it was something new for the K-7 (see attachment)

I have a K-r, so I'll update when the firmware is available for the camera ...

Any idea, what this update fixes?

By the way, what happened to updates between 1.03 and this 1.11? Have I missed something?

A big German Pentax-Dealer with very good contacts to Pentax Germany/Hamburg said, it will fix low light AF and some things more:

It's the same, but it feeds into the owners of the K5 Silver's feeling of superiority over the rest of us.

At the moment the links are broken
That's silly. Can't they update the pages only once the files are downloadable?

I don't think it will help it lock in low light, thats a matter of having enough light/contrast for the sensor to see its target. It should fix the fault of the camera grossly front focusing in light where its able to lock, but does so incorrectly.

To be accurate in translation: He said that the new firmware will improve the AF in low light situations...
