BTW, the versioning scheme is easy to understand from the perspective of service centres, etc. In order to know whether the GPS module is supported, staff only need to look at the first digit after the dot instead of remembering a certain version number ("was it 1.03 or 1.04?").

I assume the silver one has a different product code or something and is therefore listed separately despite being internally identical.
Just like my K10D Limited Edition Grand Prix Model. Definetly more superior than the plain ones.

I am dreaming this up....... May be someone (pre-Hoya) in Pentax Japan (Camera division) hated the Hoya management so much that they try to screw Kr & K5 so Hoya has to sell the division ASAP. Now, they are "rewarding" the new ownership with the AF correction!! Please, please I just want to focus in low light!!

I don't understand the low light focussing complaints. My K5 focusses in low-light perfectly well. Only when I attach the FA 50 1.4 to it, it becomes troublesome. But with the much slower DA's, there's no problems. If you copy doesn't focus correctcly, use your warrantee.

In a topic he made today, he doesn't even own a K-5, so it's pretty stupid of him to complain about a camera he doesn't even own ...

I think you made a misquote. Artyfarty was the OP in that other thread you are referencing.

The second statement in bold answers your first statement in bold.

You don't need accurate focussing when you shoot at f22

Again: My K5 focusses 100% correct in low light with the DA's, even with the faster ones. (=>f2.4 That's fast enough for focussing issues to become appearant.)

Once again, this isn't about the K-7.

Not sure, but 1.11 for the K-7 came out in 2011/01/13 so there isn't anything new to discuss there.
