strange..... live view focusing and fase detect focusing doesnt differs anymore regarding accuracy at about 2.5EV ... is that so...?

So unless you are spending the money for the GPS unit there's still no point in installing it. I'll stick with 1.03 and not fix what ain't (already) broken.

Heh, called it.

Don't worry, firmware 1.12 will be along shortly, and the only change in that one will be to change the MAKE field in EXIF to "RICOH" -- breaking all the raw converters that rely on that to identify the correct camera profile to use.

I thought it would be something like this. A bugfix on newly developed functionality. I'm not surprised at all.

still beta testing after (new) product release...not a surprise..
wonder with ricoh's $$$/corporate philosophy...
will the methodology/philosophy change in the design/manufacture/quality assurance before market release improve??? it'd be nice..... and save us devout pentaxians a headache or two....

Haven't checked. However, I wouldn't expect it to obtain these data at all. I do not have any gps gear attached, so unless the software works now as such a device, the camera has no clue about my whereabouts, does it?
