To update or not to update

So I just got my new K-5 yesterday. Was just wondering if I should update the firmware to the newest version. I am not interested in GPS, and thought I had read something about the new firmware casuing focusing issues.
Also, if there is a new version coming out soon, then would it be better to just wait for that version.

Advice appreciated

Your camera is still within the exchange period I suppose? Update the firmware asap so if anything went wrong, you are covered. Just make sure to fully charge the battery first, and don't use cheap SD.
