My first outing with K-5 and DA*60-250mm

My first outing with the new K-5 and a week old DA*60-250mm was for a sunset but it was terrible colours and no clouds so as I walked back to the car I noticed the moon high in the sky and took a shot hand held to see what I would get. When I got back to the computer I was thrilled at the result.
I have cropped to 100% and slight contrast and clarity in LR3.

Sure it's better than I'd expect it to be. The DA*60-250 is probably a great lens...

Was this raw or jpeg out of the K-5? I find that I need to add some sharpening to all my K-5 pics to overcome the anti-alias mushing.

Nice lens!......congratulations! However, I am not much of a moon person....perhaps you could find a handsome Squirrel ...I'd love that!

Best Regards!

Yep, it sure does say the photo was taken with a K-7. And even the firmware concurs.

So, do you have the K-5 version as well? I own both, so I'd be interested in comparing the two on this shot. The K-7 detail vs the K-5 ISO.

Well then, since the photo was taken with the K-7 it is crap. Had it been taken with the K-5 it would have been excellent. Such is the nature of photography these days
