With my Kx my PEF's always opened in camera utility 4 and CS5. I forgot to change to the other raw format with the K5, so had it set to RAW (PEF)+JPG like I do for all my shoots... well the PEF's wont open in Adobe CS5 or in Pentax camera utility 4. what the heck? Thank god I shot in Jpgs too, but now I have two sessions to edit and RAW would really come in handy! Any ideas to whats going on?? I dont expect CS5 to open it, but the software provided by pentax should!!

PENTAX Digital Camera Utility 4 Update for Windows : Software Downloads : PENTAX
K5 require DCU 4.21 version or higher. Download latest update at link above.

I don't know about the Pentax software (unless you haven't updated it) but I suspect you need to update your camera raw for CS5. Mine works fine for the K5. Just download it from the adobe website and run the file.
